1. Hi Johanna, how is sustainability an important issue for you at AddSecure?
Technology plays an important role in achieving the Global Goals. According to the World Economic Forum, 70% of the goals in the 2030 Agenda are supported by technology solutions, with the Internet of Things (IoT) being a component of a third of the solutions required. By providing secure IoT solutions, we at AddSecure help customers to digitise, optimise and streamline their businesses.
As a company, we are also experiencing ever-increasing pressure from investors, employees, customers and regulators. We are expected to manage sustainability in a structured way in terms of both governance and business development.
2. What knowledge about sustainability is important to have if you work for your company?
As a fast-growing company with many acquisitions, it is important that our employees have a comprehensive understanding of the challenges the world and organizations face, how IoT can be part of the solution and the need for secure communications. Transporting data from A to B in a secure way is the foundation of all our offerings. It's what binds us together as an organisation, and it's that knowledge that drives our development forward.
In addition, we need to ensure that employees have an understanding of how we do business at AddSecure, linked to issues such as ethics, anti-corruption, diversity, climate and resource use.
3. What is the focus for you at AddSecure in the area of sustainability in the near future and why?
Governance, communication and business development are our three pillars.
We need to build processes that enable us to achieve the goals we set regarding emissions, resource use, IT security and people. We are actively working to create dialogue around the potential but also the challenges of the connected society. Finally, we seek to develop ways to quantify the benefits of our solutions in terms of reduced emissions, more efficient use of resources, increased well-being and more. This is important to continue building value for customers, but also to increase understanding and transparency in the industry as a whole.
