Jenny Sahlsten, Sustainability Manager at Morris Law, answers three questions.

1. Hi Jenny! We have seen troubled times and with what looks like a declining economy - is there any risk of sustainability ending up further down the agenda and, if so, what is important to counteract it?
I think there is a great risk that sustainability issues will end up further down the agenda in tougher times, but at the same time, the sustainability umbrella is so large and we have several long-term collaborations and internal work that is constantly rolling. Sustainability work is an extremely important part of our business and a hygiene factor that we cannot afford to compromise on. The fact that we included our sustainability work in our business plan and jointly made decisions about it so that we all run in the same direction has made a big difference in our prioritization. The fact that our work has also been recognized has of course given us even more motivation.
2.How do you get your lawyers and other staff at Morris Law to participate in your sustainability work?
Many of us are involved in the work and our internal working group consists of employees from all professional roles who act as internal ambassadors. We have many good ideas and wish that there is more time to realize them in the future.
3 . What is the focus for Morris Law in the area of sustainability in the near future?
It is important to maintain a sustainable and inclusive work environment. We have therefore focused on creating the same conditions for all employees.
It is important that we get all employees on board and continue to integrate the sustainability perspective throughout our organization. To continue to talk about sustainability with our customers and, together with customers and partners, join forces to influence the transition required for a more sustainable society. In several of our partnerships, we focus on young people and we hope to contribute to the work to create the same conditions for everyone to achieve their dreams.
